We got the call from Toni (Kimberly's birthing coach) at around 11:30p.m. on October 18th. We immediately got in the car and drove to Henry Mayo Memorial Hospital in Santa Clarita, CA. We tried to rest in the Waiting room, but it was so hard to wait! Finally, we got the word that Cienna was born at 3:58a.m. and weighed 8 lbs. and was 19 inches long. We were sad because we couldn't hold her right away because her oxygen level was around 70%. We ended up sleeping in our car and came back early in the morning to see Cienna and visit Kimberly. It was so amazing to see her for the first time! Kimberly had a hard time and it was very difficult for her to place Cienna with our family, but her mom came on Tuesday morning and supported her in the decision- so that really helped her and gave her comfort during a very difficult time.
